Update on State of Kansas Free Digital Books Service:

Please be aware that on December 5 the Kansas State Library’s contract with Overdrive came to an end, and the digital books are being moved to a new service. After this date, all services, including holds, will no longer be available. To learn why this switch is happening, and receive more information, visit the Kansas EZ Library page: kslib.info/digitalbooks

OneClickDigital, the new audio book service for the state of Kansas, has now gone live. There are two ways in which users can create a OneClickDigital account and access the service.

You may create an account and log in with a Kansas Library Card, which is available for Kansas residents through your local library. Come to the reference desk with your Kansas driver's license to obtain the free card. Once you log in you can create an account by clicking on the Kansas EZ Library button toward the center of the web page.

NExpress cardholders may also access the Kansas EZ Library site from the NExpress library catalog home page. First, log into your NExpress account, and then click on the Kansas EZ Library button on the lefthand side of the page to create your OneClickDigital account. After your account is set up, you may return to the EZ library at either the NExpress library catalog web page (tab is at the top of the page) or directly at Kansas EZ Library.

Access to eBooks will be provided through the 3M Cloud Library at a later date. While we await the beginning of the new service, the Reference Department staff can provide a list of online sources for free eBooks and show you how to search the NExpress Library Catalog for eBooks available through Project Gutenberg.

Call the Leavenworth Public Library at 682-5666 ext. 206 for other questions you may have.
