Friends of the Library

Goals

• Stimulate public support of the library
• Encourage greater use of the library
• Enjoy the fellowship of other Library Friends
• Encourage gifts, endowments and bequests to the library
• Support the library in developing services and facilities for the community

Friends of the Library Activities

Book Sale

The Friends sponsor two book sales a year; one in the spring (usually in March) and one in the fall (usually in September). At each sale there are hundreds of used books, paperbacks, videos and other materials. The sale is held in the Jahn meeting room on Friday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Saturday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm and Sunday from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm.

Just Desserts

Just Desserts is a yearly fundraiser for the Friends of the Library held in April each year. The evening includes a guest speaker, desserts made by members of the Friends and coffee. Advanced ticket purchases go on sale the beginning of April.

Friday Morning Coffee Corner

Join us each Friday, 9 a.m.-1 p.m. for free coffee and a relaxing place to read. Coffee provided by Friends of the Library.

About Friends of the Library

Dues for the Friends are $12.00 per year, and meetings are held on the first Monday of the month at 6:30 p.m. at the library. Anyone interested in supporting the library is welcome to join. Application forms are available at the Check-Out Desk in the lobby.
