Student VolunteersVolunteers are needed to help shelve library materials and help with special projects. If you are age 12 or older and would like to help out at the library this summer, sign up to be a student volunteer. You may register any time during the school year; your first session will include orientation and training. Young Adult ProgramsTuesday, January 12 @ 4:00 pm Great Illustrated Book ClubA new book club for our young patrons ages nine and older will be meeting for three sessions in the first quarter of 2010. For each session, there will be a selection of books to choose from, all with a common theme. Read one or all of the following books on the reading lists for the book discussion programs which will last an hour. The first half hour will consist of a book discussion about the plot, favorite character, etc. The second half hour will be a hands-on activity. Book Discussion One - Monday, January 25. Theme: Great Kids Discussion Two - Monday, February 22. Theme: Out There Discussion Three - Monday, March 29. Theme: War All programs are scheduled from 4:00 to 5:00 pm. National Library Week Activities Tuesday, April 13 - Make and take a book mark craft |
