Read!Library programs and services for young adults, ages 12-18:

Student Volunteers

Volunteers are needed to help shelve library materials and help with special projects. If you are age 12 or older and would like to help out at the library this summer, sign up to be a student volunteer. You may register any time during the school year; your first session will include orientation and training.

Young Adult Programs

magazines and newspapers.

Create some sweet memories with our chocolate creations. Sign up by Monday,
February 1.

Thumbs up, get set, go. See if you are the library texting champ!! Prizes
will be awarded.

Poetry Workshop: Create and share your poems. Sign up by Thursday, April 1.

Great Illustrated Book Club

A new book club for our young patrons ages nine and older will be meeting for three sessions in the first quarter of 2010. For each session, there will be a selection of books to choose from, all with a common theme. Read one or all of the following books on the reading lists for the book discussion programs which will last an hour. The first half hour will consist of a book discussion about the plot, favorite character, etc. The second half hour will be a hands-on activity.

National Library Week Activities

Tuesday, April 13 - Make and take a book mark craft
Wednesday, April 14 - Play board games with your friends
Thursday, April 15 - movie Day featuring Charlotte’s Web starring Dakota Fanning
