Student Volunteers

Volunteer at The Library—Want to spruce up your college application or your resume?? Volunteers will help with everyday library activities and assist with special programs.

Book Clubs

Tween Book Club

There will be three sessions of tween book club this fall for young adults ages 9 to 12. Discussions will be held on Saturday’s beginning at 2:00 pm. Preregistration is required and books may be picked up at that time.

  • Saturday, August 30-Dexter the Tough by Margaret Peterson Haddix (register by August 15)
  • Saturday, September 20-Who Cloned the President? By Ron Roy (register by September 10)
  • Saturday, October 25-Haunted Mystery-Be ready to discuss your favorite haunted mystery book (register by October 10)

Teen Book Club

The library’s teen book club is for young adults ages 13 to 15. Two discussion sessions will be held this fall on Saturday’s beginning at 2:00 pm. Preregistration is required and books may be picked up at that time.

  • Saturday, September 6-The Teachers Funeral by Richard Peck (register by August 23)
  • Saturday, November 1-The Door Within by Wayne Thomas Batson (register by October 18)

 


Family Chess Club

Children and parents are invited to join us for a game of chess and snack. Please feel free to bring your own chess set.
